Viste le condizioni sfavorevoli del cielo dalle mie parti, sto riprocessando con Pixinsight alcune vecchie riprese dobsoniane.

PResumo che IR 742 significhi che hai ripreso con un IR PASS a 742nm, giusto ?

Quali vantaggi di questo filtro rispetto a un H-alfa?

Potrebbe essere vantaggioso usare questo filtro anche in EAA ?

io faccio solo EAA e fin'ora ho utilizzato l'h-alfa su alcune nebulose (in mono) , oppure l'L-eNhance su nebulose a colori , mentre sulle galassie niente filtro e solo mono

Si e' il 742 Astronomik Proplanet. Lo utilizzo per tutte le riprese non nebulari (per le quali uso invece l'Optolong L-Extreme).
Non ho mai usato un filtro H-Alfa, per cui non so dirti le differenze.
Sono giunto ad utilizzare i filtri IR per le galassie dopo aver provato tutta una serie di filtri UHC come soluzione per contrastare l'inquinamento luminoso.
E li uso anche nel live stacking (prima con ASI Live ed ora con il plugin di NINA per Pixinsight) sfruttando sempre aperture adegute (20 e 25 cm).
Senza questi filtri con il setup equatoriale non andrei oltre i 20/30 secondi di esposizione, mentre utilizzandoli arrivo tranquillamente a 3 minuti e potrei andare anche oltre.
Con il Dobson, l'apertura mi consente di utilizzare l'IR742 anche con 3 secondi di esposizione.

Alby68a Usavo sempre Pixinsight. Ora pero' ci metto un po' piu' di esperienza, piu' tempo ed ho anche aggiunto i plugin RC Astro.
